From what i understand, the fiber lasers produce a small kerf so higher gas pressures are needed.
And probably due to the high absorptivity, too much heat means boiling the material rather than melting...
Does your fiber laser have a lens protection window? If so, i cant see using a lower...
Anyone know how to reduce the overshoot on a Z axis that occurs only on tactile mode?
Putting a block of wood underneath the sensor, the nozzle will bounce below the block by about 15mm, then return to the correct position.
I have set the linear pot, and centered the offset pot, for the tactile...
No problem.
There is a DC to DC convertor, to get the required 5V, on the procon card.
Just make sure this is pumping out clean 5VDC, if not, throw in a new one.
A CO2 laser with abit of power, <100watts, will mark stainless steel provided Oxygen assist gas is used.
Laser marking onto stainless, without a marking compound, is oxidizing the surface. <= a process called annealing. (As opposed to engraving, which is removal of the material)
You are...
Just noticed your other thread about a wobble in the cut.
Same machine? Occurred around the same time as noticing the debris on lens?
Is it the lens rattling around in the cutting head giving you both problems perhaps?
Am i looking at this correctly?
Is that a defined score around the top edge of the lens?
Have you scratched into the lens and this is what is covering it?
If running the cleaning plugs still collects debris, then keep running them.
The question remains, where is the debris coming from? Can you ensure no vacuum leak / no gas contamination from hoses or fittings (on the non vac side)?
My suggestion, run with the plugs (or greased optics using high...
I assume you have a Bylaser series resonator, 4.4/5.2? It should already have output/end mirror temperature monitoring, correct?
If so, i would also assume that the suggestion was for output/end mirror break detection.
So... what price would 'you' put on something that would greatly reduce...
although im not familiar with Amada, i would suggest you need 'evaporate/burn' parameter more so than 'etch'
to evaporate the pvc, i would be using a standoff of about 5mm, run a negative focal, use N2 gas, and go pretty quick.
so maybe try....
feed rate 40000mm/min
power 400watt
gas pressure...
Have you 'really' checked the code?
Make sure the element (outer or inner circle in this case) only contains one contour.
If using Bysoft, use the 'Display Options' to show 'End of Contours' in the 'Geometry' section.
Machines hate 'unclean' code, and this is quite common when importing from a...
STL3511 - Beam path air pressure is missing.
Check the ultra-pac unit for fault indication (led lights on side of unit) red light means it requires a service.(new filters)
Check the beam path air pressure regulator is set to 2bar.
