Does ASME Sect IV allow the use of Stainless Steel Flanges on a carbon steel hot water heater?
Or is there a code case available for use?
Using the tables HF-200 and HLW-300 the stainless material isn't listed but we have been using it for years, today someone mentioned it not being listed in...

That is the only thing I saw too, with our weld procedures, 1/2" max weld pass, the 9/16" fillet would be laid down in 2 or 3 passes...
