Is there a reason why you are doing cutting the hole as part of the assembly and not as part of the parts themselves?

Based on the picture you attached it looks like you are cutting a hole through both sides at the same time. Could you use the hole wizard before the mirror and then mirror over the hole cutout as well? That should give you the results you want.

You should be able to go to Section Properties next to Mass Properties and then select the face/plane that you want the properties for.
