    Do yourself a favour and have a proper vibration analysis done. Saying the pump now vibrates badly does not tell anyone anything signifigant. A vibration analysis will give you the information you need to properly diagnose and then correct the problem. Hope this helps. Cheers!

    LabOwl, We use 0.0005"/ft. as tolerance for straightness. As long as the bearing fits are within tolerance, shafts may be straightened and reused. Hope this helps!

    ProjectEng, Greetings. Sounds like a good candidate for a VFD. Some quick calculations and a little programming should alow you to step up the speed of the pump to prevent any spiking in the RO. Once the unit is up to pressure/speed, control could be fully assumed by the valve. Hope this helps.
