I'm wondering if anyone has experience or could point me to a resource on wastewater tank ventilation rates - active ventilation not passive.
I have a closed top EQ tank that needs ventilation/odor control - this tank has submerged mechanical mixing not coarse aeration. My question is - is...
it smoked...thank you again for your response.
I am learning, I think. At least I have my click (they overnight shipped!)
I have a question that I'm confusing myself on... if the PLC goes rung by rung don't I need to have the outputs in order? For example if the order of the valves...
The filter does not have any specific application limitations. It is meant to be used in systems where a traditional media filter or cyclone separator or bag filter are used. Of course certain applicstions are better than others. The image attached is a 4" body unit and can do about 30gpm...
itsmoked...thank you for your responses.
After paying for 'parallels'..then paying for windows 10..I finally was able to get the click software on my mac. Now I just have to learn how to do the ladder logic part. I did purchase a click PLC and power supply, so I will be in my garage for the...
Thanks for the response danw2.
I was actually looking into PLC before I started thinking about timers. I have some issues though...mainly I run a Mac system and can't find any economic PLC programming options that run on Mac. I was initially thinking of using the click plc as I don't need a lot...
Hello,
I'm an environmental engineer and trying to put together a filter prototype. My ignorance on electrical/controls is monumental. Assume nothing I say is correct.
So basically this is a media bed filter - I attached some images below. There are three motorized ball valves: 1 is a feed...
Does anyone have or know where there is data on the yield strength of expanded polystyrene under compressive load? Basically I'm trying to determine how much deformation occurs under given pressures and what is the max deformation before crushing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank...
Back in 2018 I developed an ISO14001 - EMS, that was certified about 6 months later, for a water/wastewater treatment chemical plant I worked at. In my experience, what you put in the EMS depends on what your goal is in having one in the first place. At the time ours was to decrease energy...
So, yesterday I did 3D print the part. I 3D printed a solid part using PETG filament. Hopefully this works! Thanks for the heads up on molding/casting - my ignorance on the subject in monumental.
JL
Based on the quotes I've received for fabricated units. I will make it myself...trying my hand at casting. I modeled a sanitary clamp version and created a mold for it. Hoping I can print it, clamp it, and pour it using a rigid urethane resin. Anyone know of a good rigid urethane resin? Flex-it...
Does anyone know of a method for estimating a polynomial function with a combination of sin/cos? Taylor/Maclaurin estimations work the opposite way unless there is a way to go backwards with those.
Background: I programmed a dynamic simulator in vba for wastewater treatment using the activated...
Update
I found a company in south africa, trithane, that sells individual cyclone parts - apex, inlet housing, vortex finders etc. This is my easy out.
JL
Latexman, that is a great idea. The cyclone image you show would be great actually since it says interchangeable apex and feed which is what I will need to experiment with.
Do you have a source of where that image came from?
JL
I need the tangential inlet for the cyclonic nature of flow inside the tee.
FRP can be made quite cheaply so long as I do it myself. I was looking for an easy out hoping you folks would know of a supplier...I've been searching for one for quite some time with no luck.
Charlotte pipe, nibco, no...
This discussion has made me think of something I've never thought of....
I could just buy say a 6"x6"x6" PVC block, center drill a 4" hole then drill a 2" hole tangential to it using the orthogonal block face. Might not be the prettiest thing, but I'm a garage engineer after all. I wouldn't...
I have 3D printed a smaller 2" run 1" branch version. To print a larger unit would not be possible on the printer I have. I looked into it and it would be quite expensive to print from some of the online companyues that do that sort of thing. The smaller version I printed took nearly 2 days to...
