    Least square circle (GG)

Hi Pmarc I have updated the sketch with the GG counters See the yellow line in the image below. As I understood the GG circle could be outside the +- tolerances. Is it correct that the average of GG value should not exite the nomnial diamter value?

    Least square circle (GG)

Hi pmarc If I interpret the GG tolerance in cross section . See image below. The blue line is Ø51.05 and the dashed line is the plus and minus tolerance (51.05+0.5 and 51.05-0.04) The green line is the GG tolerance which is whitin the upper and lower tolerance. It should not go outside the...

    Least square circle (GG)

Hi I am trying to understand the tolerance requirement of GG. I have a hole dimension according to the image below. I need to know following point. 1. Should I add Roundness (0.15) requirement in dimension when i have GG requirement+ 2. What GG means in the dimension. Does it refere to the +-...

Axial friction coefficient and radial friction coefficient

Hello dear I hope it is the correct forum to discus the below question I insert a shaft to a hub according to image below, then I could calculat the friction coefficient from insertion force. This assmbly is based on the interference insertion. After shaft insertion I need to calculate the...

    Position value

Hello I am not an expert in the GD&T. I want to know how do you get the values for the position tolerans? are the a standard value or you just choose by yourself? I really appreciate if someone could explain it. I attach some picture with the red marked values. Those value I am intressted to...

    Creo Simp Rep

Hello I am using Creo parametric 4.0. I want to know if it is possible to hide parts in the master rep? each time I switched from modified rep to master rep the hiden part shows up automaticlly. I need to add a part in the master rep but I don't want to show it in the master rep. I want to use...

    True Position

Thank you for your inputs. Acctually I am not aiming for the bolt holes. I have 3 smaller hole with diamter 1.98 mm in both part. In the lower part (Yellow one) I used 0.05 as true position diameter and in the upper part (green) I devide the true position as 0.05/2 and used 0.025 as true...

    limit and fit tolerances

Hi I am designing a fixture with steel material. I have a shaft with a diameter 6 m5. I need to have a clearance tolerance between the shaft and hole. Than I choosed hole diameter 6 mm with F8 as tolerance. Since I am not good enough in fit, limit tolerance, I want to ask you if I have choosed...
