it looks like the motors you have are dahadler tap wound constant torque. the leads should be marked u1 v1 w1 u2 v2 w2.
for high speed supply w2-u2-v2 join together u1-v1-w1
for low speed supply u1-v1-w1 (others open)
trust this will help.

pugap:- encapsulating the endwindings with dow corning 1890 paintable compound (when paintong windings also paint a coating on the inside frame) and fit sinted bronze pourous plugs to the lowest level of frame should help.

jammyjim:- dont know of any web site however samuel heller shows examples of this connection in his book multispeed and standard squirrel cage motors vol 1 single speed. ref "the offset T circiut"
hope this helps

jammyjim :- sounds like you have a scott "t" connected motor. woods fan co use this type of motor for small aom fans. back coils are connected in series and the top winding connects to the center point of the back winding this forms a star point.
hope this helps

naglo:- please advise :- do you have a characteristic curve for the liquid resistor? what is the full volume of water in the tank? what starting torque is required, and what is the internal resistance of the rotor circiut.
would reccomend a sodium solution rather than salt.

abuomar:-you could fit thermisters into the winding.these are embedded into the end windings (3# one in each phase) when rewinding or during manufacture of new machines. for a class "f" insulation system ptc130 should be used.thermistors moniter temprature rise with in the machine...
lewish:- yes its becoming a big problem with newer vsd drives that do not have filters in the output.we have modified over 200 machines,it mainly occurs with drives and motors from 110 kw upward.normally you get a electrical discharge through the drive end bearing for close coupled machines or...
electricpete:- we select space heaters on motor iec metric frame sizes, providing the relative humidity is not over 90%.
