Hello, everybody. Could someone to tell me if EPA Method 21 is applicable for control valves and if is there any system of national certification accredited, please ?
Dear, SJones.
I am a manufacturer of control valves. I buy metalic materials such as bars, castings and plates. If my client wants a EN10204 3,2 certificate, need do I hire a third part inspector to witness the tests (mechanical, chemical and heat treatment tests) at the foundry or the trader ...

Please, someone tell me wath means closure test ? In B16.34 and API 598 it´s mentioned. Is it the same hydrostatic test of assembled valve ? I need to write a routine of assembled valve hydrostatic test. I´ll use the same pressure that hydrostatic shell test ?
thanks.
So, the imperfections are very big. Can I have a porosity of 3 mm on the serrations, since that they are not deeper than the grooves of the serrations. Or, porosity of 1,5 mm that they are deeper than the grooves of the serrations. But the serrations are not deeper than 0,1 mm.
We don´t accept...
At the column A and column B (table 3) are there values for imperfections 3 mm and 1,5 mm. That imperfections could be on the serrations ? If yes, it could be there a porosity so big than 3 mm ?
What does it means "maximun radial projection of imperfection which are no deeper than the bottom of...
