Hi,
May be it is a very simple question. I need some help to calculate clamp force when two parallel plates are bolted by 2 or 4 bolts.
May be I can use the equation T=(K*D*W). But I would like to know when 2 or 4 bolts are used over two rectangular plates (2"x2") how the clamp force will be...
Hi,
I need some information regarding pinhole in HDPE gas pipe. I heard there is some information available in PPI.
Would anyone please let me know where I can find some pinhole information except ionixtechnologies info?
Thanks

Hi,
I am just looking for some informtaion whether electroless nickel coating is good for (hold up) 5%(50000 ppm)Cl- in salt water or brine. We know EN is a good choice for Brine but to what extent of Cl- content?
It will be great if you guys can refer me some relevant publication too.
Thank...
Thx TD2K for ur response. I want to know brine fround in North american crude oil and I know it vaires from texas to albeta to gulf of mexico. And I want to how much NaCl, CaCl2 and others in Brine (Chemistry or Composition).
Can anyone provide me some data with gasoline in HDPE at high pressure : effect of gasoline on mechanical properties of hdpe pipe at high pressure and room temperature
thanks in advance
I want to run a test with gasoline in HDPE composite pipe which can hold 750-1000 psi. I will run the test at room temperature and 300-400 psi. I want to fill a small piece of pipe with end fittings on and filled with gasoline and pressurize it at 300 psi and then want to run it for 30 days. The...
1st question:If only TiO2 is used do we need any stabilizer for PE pipe in Texas heat (surface: above the ground) since carbon black heats so fast.
2nd question: how much an average black (Carbon black) PE pipe heats up on the sun compared to white (TiO2) PE pipe : Temperature rise
thanks in...
what are the astm standards for plastic pipe at cryogenic application: such as for tensile test which standard should be followed and if you know any other standards which cover cryogenic application pls. let me know.
thx again btruebood and demon3.
Silicone adhesive made the fiber greasy which I don't want. But the glue might work. I will try but not sure the exposure to acid.
I can leave the top of the testing tube open while the naked fiber is immersed into water. Then.........
thx btruebood and demon3. silicone will not work since the fiber will be immersed in acid. I will buy O-ring hope that it will not provide additional force in tranverse direction while the fibesrs are pulled.
I want to test the glass fiber strand under acidic condition. Don't want to etch it for long time and test. Just want to pass the fiber through plastic tube and somehow stop the acid to leak and pull in the two ends. Grips are made by epoxy.
Can anyone give me better suggestion on this ?
Is there any sensor or optical instrument or any other instrument avaliable to detect any loose strand on the bobbin at the time of roving. Since for the operators it is always not possible to see constantly the bobbin being made so we are having problem in the production using bobbing with...
To clarify it more, it is a composite pipe made of PE liner, fiber and PE jacket. But the jacket and the liner is made of HDPE. Tg for HDPE is around -90C. But if you guys can give me a bit more specific idea regarding using HDPE pipe at -40C and there will be brine in the pipe, that will be great.
