Best and clearest way to insert images into NX ?

you're better off making the titleblock in UG, exporting a PDF, and then combining them in another program.

we are migrating from 7.5 to 8.0, thanks I will look at your videos

Can this be made in the sheet metal package?

For the most part I'd be satisfied with a flat pattern, even if it was just wirefrane. the system doesn't seem to be able to unfold dents or the wall corners. I will look into the progressive die module

Can this be made in the sheet metal package?

I have NX 7.5 NX sheet metal application. take a look at this picture http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=b5b5c0d1-dbb7-4207-b383-a3d2aafb284e&file=NGE_Puzzle-Piece_Design_11_5-29-2014.jpg

V5-importing a step file with assembly structure from NX and keeping it an asm (product)

It was in the settings in NX. edit it to as saved. never mind

V5-importing a step file with assembly structure from NX and keeping it an asm (product)

Has anyone done much of this? so far I can get an assembly, but it doesn't seem to bring along the children in the original NX file that were in other directories. just the components from the same directory as the assembly itself I start a blank product and use insert existing component and...

hey that is a good idea, thank you

making a helical half sphere ?

I'm trying to make a design out of helical wrapped wire that makes a cylinder and the ends in a half sphere. I;m not sure how to apply the law curve function to do that. NX 7.5 see attached picture and UG file thanks

Easiest way to draw minimal box around odd shaped part?

actually it doesn't work so good. since it's skewed in 3D it doesn't draw the smallest possible box

Easiest way to draw minimal box around odd shaped part?

That works great! thank you very much, Joyce

Easiest way to draw minimal box around odd shaped part?

I don't have an advanced assembly license but I need to figure out how to draw a part with the minimal XYZ box so I can package it. what's the easiest way to do it? UGNX 7.5.2.5 see attachment, and thank you very much

thanks cowski. that's what I was looking for!

    assemby constraints tip

i was hoping there'd be a lazier way without having to measure such as getting it planar, parallel on side and the align midpoints?

    assemby constraints tip

NX 7.5 What would be the fastest way to merge the rectangular end cap onto the the rectangular tube using assembly constraints? there must be a shortcut from the way I do it now. (the cap ID is slightly smaller than the tube)
