    Dry transformers inrush currents

Try to use the poarised voltge for the earth fault relay. This can avoid tripping while energising.

    Trafo vector group

As per my understanding excitation trafos and interposing trafos have Yd5 and Yd7 connections.Yd5 and Yd7 are 180 out of phase with Yd11 and Yd1

    Neutral resistance usage

Application 1: when these two transformers may or may not feeding one system. Application 2: These two transofrmers are feeding one system.

Open Delta PT vs Wye PT

open delta generally used in high impedance grounding system or ungrounded system. Is it just Y-Y PT or earthed through neutral?? Explain how your generator neutral earthing and the grid earthing was carried out?

Grounding of Surge Arresters on a Transformer Secondary

Most installations I have seen run a copper conductor from the arresters straight down to a ground grid connection. This conductor should be as straight and as short as possible.

Zero Sequence current during XFMR inrush?

Since it is operating only during the energisation, you can adopt a simple scheme by using the voltage poarised earth fault relay. This can distinguish exactly between the earth fault and inrush.

    6-lead motor lead identification

Try with the following tips. 1. Identify the leads with the continuity. 2. You can do the flicker test(like how you check the polarity of the CTs between primary and secondary) between two windings and based on the uniformity you can identify the sequence.

    Locked Rotor Current (LRC)

If motor is tripping while starting, you may have to look into the possibility to install the speed switch. For some fan motors generally the starting current will be more than stalling current.
