Hi,
I'm trying to find a detail (diameters, taper, thread form, etc) of API American Open Hole threads. I've googled way too long with no results.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
John

What in the name of Sam Hill is an API Open Hole Threads? I've heard and use American Standard(Taper) Pipe Threads though.

Well, I guess all the American Closed Hole threads were too tight to loosen. 8<)

Is NPT the term you are looking for? There are many references for the pipe size, pipe thread OD, tap hole size, and drilled (through hole, pipe ID) size.

Thank you so much hydtools!! That's exactly what I was looking for.

Comparing with pipe threads, the AOH threads are a lot coarser than pipe threads--I guess because of the sand and dirt from drilling operations. Great reference Hydtools
