Hello, I have a workstation with an Epyc rome 24 core processor and 256 gb of ram. The operating system is Windows 10 Pro.
I've installed Abaqus 6.14 but I've some problems with the Abaqus standard solver becouse it doesn't run. Anyone know if there are some limitations/issues of using Epyc cpus with Abaqus?

Simulia doesn’t qualify specific AMD processors but Epyc family was also officially tested with Abaqus.

It’s very likely that the problem is not caused by processor but failed installation of Standard solver.

Thanks FEA way, do you have the link to the official tests with Epyc and Abaqus? Because my doubt is that it was tested only for explicit solver.

There's only information in Dassault Systemes Knowledge Base that Abaqus was tested with this family of processors. However, from what I know, during the "Science in the Age of Experience 2018" conference AMD presented results of benchmark done for Abaqus/Standard with Epyc processor.

For FEA like massive calculations, it is recommended to go for high clock speed and lower core count (disable hyperthreading) to avoid I/O bottleneck. Though your problem seem to be related to installation errors.

I used the same file to install Abaqus on other two machine with intel cpus and everything works well. I tried to reinstall many times in this machine with Epyc but with the same bad results. Now I'm trying to install Red hat linux SO and install Abaqus there. FEA way it is very interesting for me to read these benchmark and tests, can you give me any links for the dassault knowledge base and AMD presentation in the Science in the Age of Experience 2018?
