can anyone explain what does MS stands for in API 5L grade X65 MS Pipes?

Just out of interest, where did you find that info ?
I only have an old edition of API 5L (2000) and all I could find was S was for seamless.

I didn't have my handy copy of 5L to hand earlier, but fully agree with S Jones (I knew he would be right).

Comes from the latest two versions of 5L - 44th and 45th edition when they amalgamated with ISO 3183.
M stands for thermomechanically rolled or formed to give it is full terminology.
S for sour service where it meets requirements of annex H.

So it does depend on whether this is relatively new pipe or the OP is talking about pipe to a different version of 5L - makes a big difference.....
