For areas less than 100 SF, use 1.0 (no reduction)
For areas greater than 1000 SF, use 0.8
For areas between 100 and 1000, such as 250 SF, use 0.9

Does this reduction factor for areas refer to Areas OF Roof for MWFRS??

90 percent of the cases i have buildings which are greater than 1000 sqft.

with this understanding , should i apply reduction factor for all the roof coefficients ?

Also i want to highlight in the ASCE PRESS publication guide to wind load provisons of ASCE 7-05 ( refer attachment )

no examples have shown this use of reduction factor for roof coefficients.

i wanted to double check this wiht some experts ? could anyone please share their opinion on this
