cannot select curves in extrude

Hi, I am running NX 7.5.4.4
Some how i must have switched a toggel. Now when i have curves or splines and want to extrude them. I cannot select the curves in the extrude operator. But if i select the curves and then select the operator it will work. My selection filter is set to :no selection filter as i normally use it. Thanks for any help

What is the 'curve rule' set to? If it is something like "face edges" or "curves in group", it will not allow normal curve objects unless they meet the criteria.
