I am trying to export some drafting data so that I can place it into a PowerPoint presentation. I have used TIFF files, but the quality is not that great. I tried to export a CGM but nothing happens. Any ideas?

UG will not export the drawing views from the drawing application. You would have export the drawing sheet as a DWG file and then import it into a modeling view, then export that as a CGM. An alternative that I like to use is a software called SnagIt it is easy to use, gives you a quality image that you can add mark-ups to and is cheap. You can try it for free as well. You can find it at
I know this reply is a bit late but I hope it helps.

Thanks rhubert, I'll have to give SnagIt a try

I am using NX, and have had no problems exporting CGMs from the drawing application. The area I have had problems is getting the CGM to display properly. This was solved by loading different CGM viewers until we found one that worked to our satisfaction. Unfortunately I don't remember the source we used for the viewer.
