Hello everybody,
I want to compare two different operating conditions for axial compressors from the viewpoint of casing size and thickness. I have two compressors with similar power and similar compression ratios but different suction pressures. One of the compressors intakes ambient pressure while the other one intakes pre-pressurized air. Is there any handbook or standard just to make a rough estimation of the casing size and thickness? I know what I need for impellers.
