Catenary Curve 1

I am trying to design Catenary curves in unigraphics. But am striking out in every path i try to follow. Can anyone help me out in this?

I miss spoke in my last post. What i was trying to ask was if there was a way to make witdth of the arc different. Like changing the distance from 2" to 1"

OK, in the new example attached, I've added an expression for 'Width' and modified the law curve expressions so that you will get what you're expecting.

Is there a way create mutiple copies,chain them together like the way telephone lines hang? ( Also extrude them to actual solids? )

Is it possible to use this to incorporate into a lift sling model to get proper model? I've been multiple sketches and combined projections so far to create this. Also is there a list some where of different curve laws that can be applied?

Yea gotta 'Rinehart Mathematical Tables, Formulas and Curves' handbook?

Any set of equations used to describe a 2D or 3D curve in space can be used in a Law Curve.

That being said, with NX 8.0 we're including a set of 'Law Curve' examples as part of the Reuse Library. These consist of 'features' which can be 'dragged' into an existing part model (we include both Metric and Imperial examples) covering the curve types shown below:

Of course, the skies the limit once you master the technique for using the explicit Law Curve function yourself.
