convert STL to solid body

Hi All,

Can anybody convert these two bodies to solid bodys. With my NX i don't have the proper license to close the geomitry to convert it to a solid body.

I think that a convergent (faceted) body is the best you'll get from an STL file. Is that what you are looking for?

Of all the things that NX is positively the best at, this is not even close to being on that list.

SolidWorks does a fair job, but it takes a bit of tap-dancing at times to get workable surfaces.

One of my coworkers is using Inventor to get solids from scans and is getting fantastic results.
