Creating a Double Lead Thread

Up until now I've been able to create double lead threads by the use of some helix, sketch, and swept feature. I contacted GTAC the other day and they claim that you can modify the nx502_Threaded_Hole_Standard.xml by adding another line of code and modifying it. However, they have yet to get back with me on what exactly I should be inputting. Anybody have any ideas?

Using NX-5 you can certainly nominate the number of starts for a symbolic thread but from your post it seems you may intend to model it as a detailed thread. Unfortunately the detailed thread dialog does not support multi start threads.
I don't see why a sweep with an angled law might not work. Can you tell us when the sweep used to work and what goes wrong now?

Also if you do get some satisfaction from GTAC I hope you will post to share the information recieved with the forum.

Actually there is nothing wrong with the way I do it now (creating sweeps or using symbolic). But the company wants detailed threads and there are only a few people who play around with making this type of double lead thread form where I work. What I am trying to accomplish is to make it easier for other people to create this type of thread form. If and when I get this working I will definitely post for all to see.

I don't use threads much, but the first thing that comes to my mind is User-Defined Features. Have you looked into those?
