Hi,
I want to take uot from Abaqus cross-section forces (only moment and normal which should be a sum of each nodes in this section) from shell element. I made a free body cut where I indicated elements above and under this cross section (only one row above and under of this elements not every element of this part) and I pointed each nodes on this cross section and as a results I get much lower result (the result is about 10^6 times lower) than I calculate by myself. What should I do to take out cross section forces, what is wrong...?
Greetings

Create a BOLT pre-tension section in a first STEP, use "fix bolt length". Create a time-history of the sectional forces for the pre-tension section. Apply the whatever loads in the next STEP(s).

First STEP - you mean in the 'initial'?

Not in the "initial", create a dummy STEP type STATIC as the first STEP.
