I am having a slight issue with exporting DXFs. After exporting everything looks great. If there is text it appears correct. If I need to edit the text though (in Autocad), it has a semicolon at the beginning of it. I then need to delete the semicolon. The other issue is that any text within autobaloons is shifted to the right, probably because of the semicolon. Are there settings in UG that I can change to fix this, is this in the converter, or an Autocad problem? Any suggestions? Thanks

We probably don't recommend that you use Autocad for anything here :) But if we must try when exporting DXF from NX to Autocad try to change you export settings to a newer or later version of DXF. You have to go through File>Export DXF/DXF>Modify Setiings>Advanced, and the in the top corner you should be able to set it to export to suit different verisons of Autocad. Having done that you need to save a settings file, either overwriting the default version or re-loading your alternate version on the fly each subsequent time you want to use your modified settings.

Apart from that if you're not using pretty much unformatted blockfont in NX then you may encounter a few formatting problems when the fonts pass through the DXF translator. If you intend to set up drawings that you regularly work with in Autocad then you should consider using a font in NX that is best supported post translation into Autocad.

I don't understand why you want to export to DXF than edit again the text? Because of we can do any thing in NX and print after every thing OK. We use export to DXF only for plate CNC cutting. The fist thing we must to export to CGM from modelling after pick F8 for real view, than create new file and import CGM file to the new file. After that we export to DXF. That way could get more time than export directly to DXF but we get more real drawing than the second one. You can use that way for your drafting but on AutoCad we must scale to real object.
