Extracting area in contact between two deforming bodies

Hi all,

I think the title says it all but, I know that one can use CSTATUS to detect whether or not elements are in contract. But I was wondering if there is variable/method in Abaqus to extract the surface area in contact over elements with a CSTATUS other than 'not in contact'.

You can use the CAREA variable (available as history output) for that.
