Hi ,I am looking for a way that will allow me to join two separate surfaces and behave in solidarity when they are deformed
Thanks

Dear David,
This is exactly the meaning of the GLUE surface-to-surface, see my blog:

Glue is a simple and effective method of Simcenter NASTRAN to join meshes which are dissimilar. It correctly transfers displacement and loads resulting in an accurate strain and stress condition at the interface. The grid points on glued edges and surfaces do not need to be coincident. Glue creates stiff springs or a weld like connection to prevent relative motion in all directions.

You can create glue definitions in all Simcenter Nastran solutions except Multi-Step Nonlinear Structural Balanced Strain Generation (SOL401):

Best regards,
Blas.

How do you want the model to behave ? do you want 1 set of displacements for both surfaces ? then replace both surfaces with 1 average one.

do you want the two surfaces to deflect as different faces of a plate ? glue or fill with a solid body (much the same as glue).
