good valve seat materials?

i am looking for sugestions on what types of materials would be suitable to replace induction hardened cast iron valve seats. i have recently ran into a situation where i can not get replacement in the apropriate sizes. thanks for the help.

Gas engine, diesel, propane or nat gas?

sorry, it is a gas engine with standard stainless steel valves, thanks

when in doubt hog it out, get a head, flow a head, stay ahead

Take a look at SAE J1692. Lists valve seats by material, trade name,method of manufacture, suitability for service and gives chemistries and manufacturers.
