You need to use Grade to compile and link GRIP programs. It should be installed with the NX installation. You used to need a GRIP development license to run GRADE, but they may have removed that since GRIP is no longer supported.

We still have a grade license, trying to get them to upgrade to a snap license though. The program linked and compiled fine but I didn't try running it. It should be attached to this post.

You may get some strange behavior with datum csys features if the user specifies different destination layers for datum planes, datum axes, points, etc. A datum csys feature packages up 3 datum planes, 3 datum axes, a point, and a csys object; generally these are kept together on the same layer. The grip code may separate them out to different layers.

yes cowski I am facing some issues with this grip. sketches are not going in the assigned layer. can you help me with this program to move objects in specified layer for e.g. solids=1, sheets=11, points=62, datum csys=61, sketches=21, datum planes=62, curves=41. it will be very helpful as we have parts with very big part history and the layers are not set properly.

Thanks in advance to all of you.
