Dear all
I have question on design load of Helipads as per ASCE7-16
1.Should we apply load of Helicopter only (1.92kPa/2.87kPa)? and how about effect wind from Helicopter? [Pic-1]
2.Other section 4.11 in ASCE state that 2 kinds of apply concentrated load: 2 single concentrated loads (2.44m) apart with 0.75 takeoff weight on area 200mmx200mm and A single concentrated loads with 13.35kN on area 114mmx114mm.My understanding is corrected?[Pic-2&3]
3.If you have any idea on Helipads, please share me
Big thank you

We’ve done a few helipads. It depends on the type of helicopter. Make sure you consider dynamic loads as required, ie hard landings.

Thanks Tomfh...

Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Feel any better?
