How can I find external wave links

I have a complex deep structured assembly, some references pointing to parts are not inside the assembly. How can I find those wave links quick an where they are pointing to?

There are several ways to query WAVE links, but what method you use will depend on which license you have access to. If you have access to a WAVE license (ie: included in the Mach 3 Industrial Design Bundle) you can use some purpose-built WAVE mapping tools.

Otherwise, you should be able to see the wave-linked features in the Feature Navigator, and if you right-click any of the features, and click Information, you'll be able to see the parent part & feature, etc, in the Information box.

no batch routine or so? (no wave control)
Just a report - with feature is pointing to any file?
It's really frustating to find missing references.
I'm at nummer 12 of 266 parts.

Perhaps you could code your own. Another way to possibly get at this is by opening NX file components outside of NX, using Notepad. Try using 7-Zip to open an NX file as an archive; you'll see the database format; then you can try opening the database components with Notepad... I don't have a complete solution to offer, but if you're adventurous, you might be able to get some mileage out of this approach.

I think having a WAVE license and access to the built in tools is probably a better timesaver, but if you don't have that license, then you must find another way...
