We seem to have slipped through a wormhole into the T. Carlson alternate universe...

What's most "funny" (it'd be funny if it weren't so sad) is that 50% voted for a 2nd term, and it's likely he'll stand again in 24.

Half the country doesn't want what the progressives are selling. And they don't get it....

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

Looks like time for me to tune out again. CC went to Covid and then went to Bash Trump and his supporters.

For those that think it is ok to trash and insult anyone who voted for Trump and think they all act the same, there is a name for you also, it is called being a Dumbocrat. This idiot calls you a Dumbocrat. Are we even? Wow, name calling really works good to resolve things.

You want lack of science and numbers. In an election, you realistically get 2 choices, D or R. In some elections, both options suck. But you realistically will vote for one over an independent. First, I voted for Perot, both times because I think neither party cares about hard working and honest people anywhere. I have never viewed anyone who voted as being lock-step with who they voted for and therefore would never insult them as if they were. As a country, the US should be ashamed of the 2 crappy choices we come up with in some elections. Bush v Gore for example. Best comment I heard about them is 2 guys born on 3rd base that act like they hit a triple. I did not vote for Trump in the primary but did in the election. Why? Hillary was selling more of what I did not want than Trump. Lesser of 2 evils I thought. After Trump got to working, I THEN liked him and still do and most likely always will. So don't insult people like me unless you give some FACTS "about what he actually did" that matter.

And anyone who thinks Jan 6th was an real insurrection, take an honest look at what an real insurrection generally has. If taking over the congress and white house for a few hours while you sit in the oval office or Pelosi's chair makes it an insurrection then, each night the janitorial staff runs the country. Those chairs do not make you in charge. Most insurrections have guns and a lot of them. They may even booby trap areas. None of that happened. Even if those buffoons got to the "seats of power", their butts would have been hauled out in hours. Once the dumb-looking guy with the horn-hat and fur robe got in the white house and sat in Trump's chair, the pentagon was going to be loyal to him and hand over the launch codes? Come-on.

Now the recent election, Biden V. Trump. No hard choice for me. Trump 100%. What do I have to say about anyone who voted for Biden. Nothing nasty. They exercised their right to vote and I have no problem with that. His policies, I have no issues with. They are policies and talk. His actions, that I can have issues with. Talk all you want, it only affects my ears. But for the mass of Biden supporters you were told you will get CC corrected, Covid eradicated and peace love dove. That was the talk. The action is we will spend a obscene amounts of money on both, and nothing will improve except a select few bank accounts. One thing I truly wish for every election is that only someone who voted for a person is affected by them (good or bad) but that will never happen. We all pay the price for a crappy government. Fact that Trump said this or that, I do not care. Fact that Trump did something, I do care. Same for Biden. So don't listen to the new administrations talk, look at what they do and if what they do is actually legal. Let that guide your praise or criticism. And lastly, the only thing I can take solace in is that I got a Hunter Biden original painting while the prices were still reasonable (only $15k) and before his brilliance sky-rocketed. Worlds biggest coincidence, Hunters brilliance coincided with the election of an honest politician.

I dont mind if the topics vary a little. In a way, they are all climate change related. The challenge is to keep the discussions of the various topics in line with the aspects of CC. Otherwise there is a lot that engineers want to get off their chests, and personally, fb etc don't help with that. If anyone knows a better place than eng tips for Ron247 to carry on with those things, please let him and all of us that might be interested to do so know. Pat's Pub??? Otherwise, just try to avoid rants and keep it respectful. Ron247, you know its an insurrection by the intent of the mob, not by the amount of firearms they carry.

Tugboat, I didn't trah Trump supporters. I asked a question ... to you and I gave you a link to NBC as an example and you have every opportunity to refute. However (again), you offer only the sound of silence and a rap tune. Also an answer in a way. No way I'm clicking on a rap link.

But right. Let's try not to deflect from the issues by introducing off topics, take those lines to Pat's Pub and we'll try to focus more on the more direct CC aspects here.

1503-44. I think I clearly indicated I do not think it was an insurrection. For you to say I know otherwise now questions my honesty to some degree. My conclusion is that is was not a real insurrection.

You don't mind rants as long as you agree with them. You participated in the insults. I can go elsewhere, that is what you need. Your kind always need opposition to your ideas to leave or be silenced.

They're not exactly missing out. Isn't it the Trump supporters that are assaulting Blacks. Heck, they're assaulting Whites too. In fact all of us. (6 Jan.)
What goes round, comes round, especially after 4 5yrs of such crappy retoric. Doesn't take a genius to see that it all that leads up to exactly what happened this and last year. Its the old Brown Shirt strategy dressed up in red, white and blue.

You play with words a lot. Okay, I said I would never say something nasty about someone just because they voted for Biden, and using you analogy of "asking a question". Isn't it Biden voters who are really dumb? I am not saying anything bad, I am just asking a question. Seems obvious I am trashing them when I do it. Well, in the spirit of going to Pat's Pub, I am going to respond to you only in this rant. You can respond however you like. I will read your responses and then just acknowledge I read them. I will not retaliate. You will win. I sense you must have that happen.

Topics like CC, Covid etc require multiple people interacting to resolve the issue. None of us need a group to determine what we watch on TV or what we choose eat. We can easily do that on our own. We need no real talents whatsoever to take care of ourselves. For some reason, most of us have what it takes to figure out what we need to do for ourselves. Now when it comes to interacting with others and determining what others need to do, I think there are 4 basic pieces we need, education, intelligence, common sense and compassion/empathy.

Some equate education with intelligence, I do not.
Both intelligence and common sense are learned by being open-minded to what you see and hear. you hone these skills your entire life.
I think compassion/empathy is the hardest to acquire. I have no idea why. I know if you go through life seeing one thing only, it is normal to your regardless of what it is and you may not know how lucky/unlucky you are. Compassion takes some direct diversity in your life I guess. I never heard of a 1800s cowboy complaining about not having a TV to watch.

Education is the only one that gives you a "proof of purchase". Some like to think that proof of education is proof of intelligence and common sense. That is you. If someone disagrees with you, they are not intelligent and have no common sense, you think. Anyone who makes a good argument that you cannot snuff out other than just restating what you think or doing one of your word dances, you want gone. You for all purposes, are Al Gore. Smartest guy in the room if you let him determine who gets to stay in the room. George Bush II did not think he was the smartest in the room, he was just happy his daddy got him into the room.

You are correct, it does not take a genius, it takes a close-minded person.

For everyone honestly trying to resolve CC one way or the other, I will give you some advice from an idiot who voted for Trump that is not as smart as 1503-44.
--Making enemies for no good reason (such as bashing Trump supporters) makes solving CC A LOT HARDER. That creates a lot of people that do not wish to work with you on the topic.
--When someone that agrees with your viewpoint gets out of hand, lies, BSs or whatever hurts your cause, don't defend them, correct them. Trust me, the other side will notice and make a bigger deal of it than it may be.
--Don't take crap about who you voted for or what you believe, but expect to take crap for supporting their individual actions or your own actions. If you agree with their actions for any particular issue, you are fair game for criticism but not insult.
--People judge your ability to gather information, sort it, process it and arrive at conclusions based on what they see you doing in here for example. The election, who voted how, what is all means is far easier to analyze and judge than climate change. Do you think you have done a good job this simple issue in your life? Why should anyone trust your ability on a much harder and more expensive topic?
--Know when something is a Fact, Conclusion or Opinion. Seriously lacking in the CC world.

Respond away 1503-44. I promise I will read and acknowledge I read. Those of you who agree with 1503-44 that think any opposition should go elsewhere just post "Go to Pat's". It you want to post more, go ahead, I making no promises other than the one to 1503-44. Just remember, the hall monitor wants this type of stuff done elsewhere and may want you gone too.

In the end, I will still read at times.

Tugboat, I am not denying there is racial violence. I know it exists. In fact I am saying it is far worse and more widespread than your statements suggests. In fact I know nativeborn Latinos that want to beat all new arrivals from anywhere. It all needs to stop regardless of who, what and whom. No link necessary.

Ron247, I don't question your honesty. You may honestly believe it was not an insurrection. I only say that I know it was. If that happened in any other country, the purps would never see the light of day, probably because they would not survive being arrested. You may honestly believe its a good thing for democracy that some remain out of jail. I honestly believe its not.

CC will forcebly bend the political will of all. CC deniers worldwide hardly exist anymore. Although there is still resistance to action, it is progressing. Portugal just shut down their last coal fuled generator. When the aligators invade Maralago, resistance will be futile.
