hello good day~
While configuring the library, I found out that using the "ug_infodialog" function brings up a dialog box.
Then, is there a function that returns a value?
When making a screw library, I would like to display a box that measures the thickness of the fastening object.
thank you

You are speaking in riddles,
what library ?
what "ug_infodialog"? Are you writing code ? or using NX interactively ?
There are existing screw libraries you can download from Siemens. (free)
What NX version ?

Regards,
Tomas

The more you know about a subject, the more you know how little you know about that subject.

toost, thanks for reply
i use in nx 1973.
I am trying to automate shcs parts.
The function used is the pdw library.
First of all, it is slightly different from the Reuse library.
Shcs is very often used when designing press molds.
Currently, the shcs method of common libraries is based on “part thickness”.
The shcs counter, tab length, and bolt length are automatically selected.
However, the “thickness of the part” is automatically selected only when I enter it or based on information from the die base.
Meanwhile, when I use the "ug_infodialog" function in the expression of the part,
I saw a dialog window pop up without kf, open, or journal.
So, I asked about whether there was a function like input in Python that would allow me to measure the thickness of the object without manually inputting it.
thank you
