I have to change the colors of solids and sheets of child parts all the time.
In order to so, you have to set the following.
* A geometry filter before selecting
* Check the "Apply changes to owning part" box in the dialogue
If you forget either one, the result is only effective in the assembly your in.
You just don't know it till later.
Does anyone have a journal for this???
Seems like a common thing to be doing in large assemblies.
It helps to provide contrast and identify assembly groups quickly.
