Hello all...

Would anyone like to try to explain why this forum sees so few questions compared to some of the other forums on the site?

Lack of knowledge about the site..?

Nobody wants to know about hydraulics..?

Nobody has any hydraulic faults..?

I'm think of making a ghost name and posting some strange questions about fluid power...just to stir things up a bit.

I really enjoy helping people out or getting people deeper into trouble as is sometimes the case...!

Dear Hydromech

Pl never lose your heart. We have to remember that Fluid Power Engineering especially hydraulics is not a comprehensive subject of study in mechanical engineering course in most of the engineering colleges in the world. This makes less awreness among graduates unless they come in contact with practical fluid power applications. I mean to say there is basic calculations are taught but not applications. This makes it a very special subject because not many engineers really know about it. Even some knows, many of them are hesitant to ask questions. That is the reason you may have such feeling. But as I said, not to lose the heart, we still can spread the word by our efforts as a team to take this responsibility.

Another good thread that got buried due to lack of knowledgeable Fluid Power persons, at least in the US.

Four or Five Coleges in the world teaching Fluid Power sure sounds like a poor showing for a discipline that is a multi billion dollar industry.

Is there any change in the future? From the majority of the post's here and on other forums it seems unlikely.

What can be done to bring about changes? I wish I knew and in the past thought I did but now I am wondering in Indiana.
