Hello,

I have a lathe that uses FanucOT ie it uses G32, G76, G92 for threading and U and W for incremental.

I created a new post within postbuilder and selected the fanuc generic post as a stating point but this post issues the G33 for thread cutting and G90/G91 for absolute/incremental modes.

Am I using the incorect pui and if so could someone sugest what is required to create the correct post output?

Kind Regards,
S

It has been a long time since I have seen a 0M control.

If I recall the G76 is a thread cycle and not supported by Post Builder. You can change the G33 to a G32 from the Lathe Thread event under Motion. I am not sure if the I and K are for increment but it is worth a try.

Thanks for your reply John.
I'll give what you sugest a try.

BTW could the post potentialy be edited manualy so as to OT /OM funtionality or is just flat out not supported within NX?

Apologies for the newbie questions.

Kind Regards,
S

I suppose you could do almost anything in the post with enough customization.
