I am engineering responsible for new project gas traitment plant located in Algeria we are looking to get some experience back of hgsiev UOP technology because in Algeria we don't have this technology used

is there anyone can share his experience about the following hgsiev UOP technology used to remove the mercury by used Installation of UOP dehydration grade molecular sieve in combination with HgSIVTM-1. This
is a “drop in” solution and will enable simultaneous water and mercury removal without
modification:
o to the operational cycle in terms of adsorption and regeneration phases
o to the existing vessel design
2. Addition of a small mercury removal unit (MRU) based on UOP GB-562S in the regeneration
gas loop after gas cooling and liquid knock out, and before gas is being recycled back
upstream of the dehydration system. This guard bed is considerably smaller than an MRU
on the main gas stream (volumetric flow much smaller), and as such it has:
o a significantly lower cost
o a shorter implementation schedule

The above described solution is products and solution is well established and proven in the industry
as demonstrated by the following reference position:
o 52 HgSiv installations in natural gas service
o 27 GB installations for mercury removal in both gas and liquid phase.

We have successfully operated Mercury removal beds in all LNG plants - UOP technology in particular was used in two plants. No issues I can remember of.
