The website has only moved once, but the Open Office Design Table has been removed from it's Download section.

I also notice the thread in SW forum has been drastically cut back to only the first three posts.

WTF ?

There is issues to be resolved(not in the program).. And sorry that I was in hurry and linked wrong htm-file. Just wanted you to know that domain has changed, in case someone setups spn.office-on-the.net and starts to deliver some malware etc. I removed the download for now, but hopefully it will be back in next week(if all the things are in order).

Are you able to say why SW removed related posts from their forums?

I am able to say that I removed those posts.

Fair enough. I'm looking forward to its return.

Does issues mean what I think it means? In that case, congratulations :) If not, looking forward to its return too.

Added the new one to my sites. And for small correction for this threads subject: this is not replacement for native Design tables! I still hope you find this useful.

Excellent, thanks!

You`re welcome! Just added new feature to drive materials in part models, this should be nice and waited feature for everyone =)

This should work with LibreOffice too :)

SPN-ConfigurationDesigner is now upgraded to development version 1.9. Many people were asking if it could be possible also drive subcomponents from assembly spreadsheet, now it should be possible, if someone wants to use it in that way.

SPN-ConfigurationDesigner is now upgraded to (hopefully) stable version 2.0. App is changed from VSTA to add-in and now ConfigurationDesigner opens up from right click menu. Huge mount of bugs has been fixed from development version 1.9 and also all of the missing driving values has been added (sw-mass, cog, fixed etc)

If I use SPN to make a DT inside my part, anyone that accesses that part, to make a change, do they need to have SPN installed to access the DT?

It works same way as excel based design table. If you have not set dimensions read-only then the next user can modify the model normally without opening the spreadsheet = no need for SPN-ConfigurationDesigner. But for accessing the spreadsheet user must have SPN-ConfigurationDesigner.

That's what I need to know. I plan to have the users access the DT to make the changes and new configs via the Design table. If the users have to have SPN, then this new add-in does not help us here.

I am making start parts for our users, and they will have to be able to access the DT to start a new part to make changes, then what they do after that will have no effect on the DT further.

Thanks for your quick reply!

Ok, then I suggest that you use SolidWorks "Configure feature" or "Configuration publisher" -tools for configuring models.
