Hi all,

I am trying to run an analysis of a satellite which involves a thermal load (temp on each node). The model contains multiple RBE2 and CONM2 to simulate the connection of equipment mass to the structure. I am using a CTE for each RBE2 and also RIGID=LAGRAN, as stated in the nastran docs. The problem is that I get this strange behavior of some RBE2 elements, they deform a lot. The strange part is that some of them don't deform at all. I think the issue might be with me using automatic inertia relief.

My question would be; is it possible to run RIGID=LAGRAN with PARAM, INREL, -2? Has anyone run such a case ? maybe I am missing something and need to add something else.

Thanks!

The parameters "RIGID=LAGRAN" and "PARAM, INREL, -2" can be used together without issues.
