Hi everyone, i'm analyzing a simple structure that supports a pebble crusher (this pebble crusher is part of the structural system) and i can't figure out why Strand7 shows as free edges the 2 inferior slabs of the model and not the upper slab. Supposedly it should be supported on the beams. I tried the "Clean Mesh" and "Smooth Plates" tools.
Please help.

In an FEA model elements are only connected at nodes, so your edge plates are only connected to the beams at each end of the beams. You need to subdivide the beams to the same length as the plates, and then re-clean the model.

Note that this also applies to the upper slab. The plates don't show as a free edge because they are connected to the vertical plates, but they are not properly connected to the beams.
