Hello,

I would like to know, how does one implement a structured mesh on a surface geometry like the one below. When I try to mesh the highlighted part (and most others in this model), Patran says that "the surface is not biparametric so it can't be meshed...", although the surface does have four sides. So, the questions are:

1. How does one turn a 4-sided surface biparametric
2. How would one divide existing surfaces (that are not 4-sided) into biparamatric ones

Thanks.

Although that surface appears to be 4-sided, it may not be. It might have more than 4 vertices and thus more than 4 edges. You could delete that surface then recreate it by selecting the two opposite long edges. This would give you the 4-sided surface that you want and then you could mesh it with quad elements.
