Real time production display

I am looking to put up a screen in the plant that will slideshow through 4-5 excel files (production schedule, production #s, safety info...etc). I assume I will dedicate a computer to this screen that controls the display. All information will be changed and updated maunally, perferablly from any other computer (via network) and have the changes appear in real time. Does anyone know of a simple way to do this, perhaps some free software. I dont need any overly advanced andon software right now just something to get the info up in real time. Thanks in advance!

Could be as simple as just using the computers internet browser (using meta refresh to keep the data fairly real time).
No additional software needed.

Sounds like a simple solution, yet I still dont know how to do this, care to elaborate or share some links?
