Looking for a reliable relay: 5V to 12V drive - to control 120VAC ON/OFF. Any suggestions?

At only 1A 120V ac, there are a lot of options. Even the lowly Potter-Brumfield type plug-in relays would probably be adequate.

If you're doing this hundreds of times per hour, you might want a heavier duty machine-tool type relay.

Is this one-off or are you looking at buying thousands of these?

It's only 2 per unit. It's for an automated machine, basically a few hundred cycles/day. It will be used to energize a coil with 110V AC to control an air cyliner. I'm looking at using one of IR's photovoltaics: PVA33 series - - The goal is to keep it the control for the cylinder as small but reliable as possible. These are much cheaper than the standard solid state relays.
