Have a need for a right angle drive. Input hollow spline shaft through, male shaft output. Consider a X-Y axis slide arrangement where the Y axis is driven by a ball screw and the X axis is driven by a spline shaft. This allows the X slide to move at any position on the Y axis. May sound a little crazy but I'm trying to have the drive motors in the same general location.
Thanks,
Dennis

bluesman0007,

There are through-hole (no output shaft) worm drives out there. What gear ratio do you want?

I suggest a chat with a power transmission vendor.
