Reference Symbol Text (Drop Down, Select)

This will give you the what you want but it will have a "REF" Tag along side your callout in the balloon.

thanks @ 3dr.
actually I am looking for this in assembly model and team center structure manager. please throw some light on that.

When ever you add a component at your assembly, the item #, callout, sequence # will increase by 10. So if you add 10 parts that are all the same, your item#'s will be 10,20,30.... which is terrible in some ways, other ways it could be good. I wish there were more settings on how to control how these item#'s are assigned in teamcenter.

I don't use Teamcenter so I can't help you there.

can you rephrase the original question ?

Is it that , if the "detail_A" appears in any assembly, it should then always have
callout "347" , because Jim and Pete in the workshop then knows what part it is ? ( Yes, i have had this discussion with a customer.)

or is the question that if "detail_B" appears in "n" places in the same assembly, all "n" occurrences should have a balloon with the same number ? ( and that number is/can be different between assemblies)

Or is it that only one of the "n" "detail_B" should have a balloon, but all "n" should be on one line in the NX BOM ?

Regards,
Tomas
