Dears,
I'm designing an hydraulic oil circuit to test the sealing of a plug on an hydraulic valve.
My idea is:
- to pressurize the circuit with a pump that gets the oil from a tank.
- to adjust the pressure set point with a proportional relief valve, with electrical control
- to close with a shut-off valve the circuit related to the plug
- to monitor (e.g. for ten minutes) if there is a pressure drop in the closed circuit.
The required test pressure is 1 MPa +-0.005, but I could extend the range with an higher upper tolerance, since it will be conservative.
My doubts are related to the fact that the circuit will be small (a few centiliters of oil) and I may not have much control over the pressure.
Do you have any suggestions? Eventually even on the choice of the proportional relief valve.
