I'm looking for examples/guidance on designing a shelf angle supporting a concrete floor (metal deck/composite slab) UK British Standard or Eurocode ideally. The angle will be welded to the web of a UB and so far I've checked the protruding leg of the angle as a short section cantilevering plate supporting a load per m. Is this enough? I'm not sure how accurate it would be given that the angle is continuous? Is there a way of predicting the buckling along the entire length?
