I'm looking for examples/guidance on designing a shelf angle supporting a concrete floor (metal deck/composite slab) UK British Standard or Eurocode ideally. The angle will be welded to the web of a UB and so far I've checked the protruding leg of the angle as a short section cantilevering plate supporting a load per m. Is this enough? I'm not sure how accurate it would be given that the angle is continuous? Is there a way of predicting the buckling along the entire length?

Pretty much. Maybe check cross web flexure in the supporting beam web.

Seems pretty accurate to me. If you need to consider concentrated loads on your floor, you might want to adjust your kN/m to account for that.

There's no real potential here for angle leg buckling. AOK.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.

Great thanks. I'd pretty much come to the same conclusion but nice to
O here it from someone else. Sometimes I completely over think things!

Yeah... preachin' the choir here my friend. My firm's motto used to be "simplifying the complex!". I seem to spend a lot of time complicating the simple. I try to do most of that on here these days in the interest of massive departmental profits.

don't you find spending time on here detrimental to that whole profitability thing?

Massively so. Thankfully, these days, my job is less about doing engineering than it is about facilitating other folks' doing engineering. You know, that and bunch of lame ass spreadsheety PM stuff.
