Has anyone specified these? What was your experience?
Have a pole barn I am working on where the contractor would like to embed the 6x6's in concrete. I want to provide him an alternate due to potential rot issues.
Is there any "gotchas" I need to consider for design or constructability? (other than they are expensive AF) Seems like there is always something with Simpson's newfangled products.

We've used them a few times. The moment capacity values are pretty low. If you use their reinforced detailing that improves things somewhat. Also pay close attention to the edge distance requirements. They are fairly significant.

The post bases have drainage holes towards the bottom. I'm not sure how those effectively work if there are any architectural finishes over the concrete slab.
