Surface help needed

I have attached a picture of the 3 profiles that I need to come together. I can accomplish this a few ways but noticed the "transition" feature looks like it might be the best. Unfortunately its not working for me. It keeps saying cannot build bottom surface. Any advice on the best way to do this?

Without the actual part file (at least that part of it where the 'transition' is located) there's not much that anyone could probably do to help since it depends so much on what and how the rest of the model was constructed.

I have attached that portion of the model. The points are raw data of a surface collected with a faro arm. The lines and surfaces are what I have created so far. I know I can make this transition with methods I am more familiar with. I have never used the "transition" function but from the looks of the little icon it might be best. I just feel like there is no point in not learning the best way or even just a new way to do something.

Look for surface "from point cloud". It may be able to construct a decent surface from all the green points that you have.
As far as the bottom surface goes you may want to add some curves so that you can create a few surfaces, and then sew them together.
Don't be afraid to create the surfaces seperately on other areas as well, and then sew them together.
 
"from point cloud" gives very few options, no Gx constraints and is exceedingly difficult to modify so its not really a good option here, or anywhere for that matter. Creating multiple sheets and sewing is what I would typically do but I am always interested in new methods.

I have attached an example I did for Simon some time back. I think the best way to control the result is to simply create a slab surface spanning the centre portion and then blend the corners. You've always your work cut out for you creating such a complex shape to relatively few points on a scan.

The Attached is in NX-5 BTW I hope that you'll find a way to open it. [wink]

Thanks for all of the replies. You have all been helpful. I have NX7.5 as well so I was able to open your file hudson888, it looks great, good work!
