Hi all
I'm building a 1-D engine model for a Range Extender Electric Vehicle in GT Power and I have also to evaluate the influence of the three way catalyst on tailpipe emissions. I have modeled it using the "Surface Reaction" template, in order to consider also the oxygen storage reactions, but it doesn't work properly. I think that it is possible to model a three way catalyst in a simpler way with GT Power.
Can you give me some suggestions on how to do it?

Thanks.

Hi!!
I've already used their library, but I think there is a problem with the chemical reactions object. It does not measure the HC concentration at the exhaust. Furthermore, I’m finding it difficult to enter the details on chemical kinetics.
There is an easier way to model a TWC? For example, a transfer function for the conversion efficiency.
Thanks

I'm not qualified to talk about chemical kinetics in detail, but my consultant is, and his fees are very reasonable. Before going down that route, however, you should probably post your issues in the user forum. Go to and select "Member Area."

P.S. When I try to help answer a question, I often find useful resources. It may not help you with your specifric challenge, but I was happy to find the resource at
