Anyone who has seen this movie knows what I'm talking about as to TPS reports. My manager actually gave me an assignment recently and told me it was for the new TPS project currently going on in our factory. I almost died laughing. He actually referred to my work as a TPS report.
I don't think he has any clue as to why I was laughing so hard. Oh by the way TPS in our context stands for Toyota Production System. We are an Automotive parts supplier.

That's Hilarious Buddy, I am pretty sure he had a coffee mug in hand while talking to you about the TPS report

SPSU97,
Can I have your stapler?

Sorry ctopher but someone seems to have stolen my stapler!

And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire...

They used to sell a limited edition boxed DVD set of Office Space that included a mug and a red stapler. I bought it, but haven't opened it up yet. I thought that it would make a great Christmas gift for the right person, so I'm still hanging on to it. I'd look for it on Ebay if I were you - bring the mug and the stapler to work!

Maui,
Was the stapler from Swingline? Because, they never made a red stapler...

I thing that they did in a limited number to commemorate the movie.

I don't know if Swingline made the stapler or not. Since I haven't opened the box yet, I really didn't have an opportunity to check. It would be pretty funny if they did.

Swingline did not make a red stapler. The production of the movie involved a Swingline stapler & some red paint. However, due to the success of the movie, Swingline recognized the desire for such product, and began to produce them. I am now the proud owner of a red stapler. And if anybody tries to steal it, I'll burn the building down.

Don't forget the new cover sheet. Did you get the memo?

Thanks!

Yeeaahhhhh. I'm going to need you to go ahead and come in on Saturday. That would be greeaaat...

Archibald Putt's First Law
"Technology is dominated by two types of people: those who understand what they do not manage and those who manage what they do not understand."

Corollary to Archibald Putt's First Law
"Every technical hierarchy, in time, develops a competence inversion."

The results are things like "TPS Reports". Unfortunately, in the real engineering life, "TPS Reports" take many different shapes and forms, like "TQM" and "ISO 2000".

Just watched the special editon last week and I believe that it said the the red stapler is now the best selling stapler swingline makes.
