Thanks, have done more googling. Your web site says it is a 612mm but 24x25.4 is 610,
Somehow I always thought B24 referred to the Pitch length but have rechecked and it is the inside length
I also googled B612 and nothing came up. The moral of the story is always quote classical belts using Inches. The reason for my request was that I was reviewing a company's inventory list and they showed both a imperial and metric measure for belts e.g. B68 and B1760 but 68" is 1727mm, and googling the full spec the pitch length is 1770, inside is 1727 and the outside is 1796mm. So dont know where they got B1760
There does seem to be some slight variance between web sites. A good site for a full spec is BEARING SHOP UK.
Thanks again for your time

Hi davet1948
The web site says the B24 is 17mm x 11mm, am I understanding your reply correctly?

I was only concerned with length and not the profile size

Ah okay I understand now.

length between imperial and metric are not exactly same but the metric inner length size is rounded

yes appears so, best to standardise only on the imperial size for classical belts especially when the size quoted can be inside, pitch or outside length depending on vendor
